FOUNDATIONWe over engineer the foundations under the mailboxes we build to do everything we can to keep them from leaning. In almost every neighborhood we drive through we notice a lot of mailboxes are leaning. This is usually due to an improper foundation. We make our foundations with a 6-inch square base, and we install 5 footers that go down another 6 inches and then build out the framing with rebar.
